Such candidates must produce their final marks card at the time of counselling or admission. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of candidature without any further consideration.
• The candidate should be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir or Union Territory of Ladakh. For candidates from UT of Ladakh, a Scheduled Tribe (ST) certificate issued by the competent Ladakh authority will be accepted as proof of domicile.
• The candidate must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board and should possess a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) certificate. Registration as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (R.N.R.M.) with the J&K Paramedical Nursing Council is mandatory.
• Male nursing candidates trained before the introduction of the integrated GNM course must provide valid proof of Indian Nursing Council–approved training of equal duration in place of midwifery. Accepted areas include Operation Theatre Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, Tuberculosis Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurology and Neurosurgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Cancer Nursing, or Orthopaedic Nursing.
• The candidate must be medically fit at the time of admission.
