  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board and should possess a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) certificate. Registration as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (R.N.R.M.) with the J&K Paramedical Nursing Council is mandatory.
  • Male nursing candidates trained before the introduction of the integrated GNM course must provide valid proof of Indian Nursing Council–approved training of equal duration in place of midwifery. Accepted areas include Operation Theatre Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, Tuberculosis Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurology and Neurosurgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Cancer Nursing, or Orthopaedic Nursing.
