The Fundamentals of Nursing Lab offers an experiential learning setup where students develop core nursing competencies. Equipped with hospital-like facilities such as patient beds, mannequins, and essential medical apparatus, this lab helps students practice patient assessment, personal hygiene, bed-making, and infection control. The objective is to build confidence and competence in delivering quality patient care.
The Community Health Nursing Lab is designed to train students for healthcare delivery in community settings. Using models, charts, and tools that replicate real community environments, the lab strengthens students’ abilities to provide preventive, promotive, and rehabilitative care. It prepares them to work effectively with families and communities through health education and public health initiatives.
The Midwifery Lab is a specialized facility focused on maternal and neonatal healthcare. With advanced birthing mannequins, neonatal resuscitation units, and labour-and-delivery simulators, students gain crucial hands-on experience. Training covers antenatal care, safe childbirth practices, postnatal care, and emergency obstetric procedures, enabling students to support mothers and newborns with skill and confidence.
The Nutrition Laboratory provides a practical learning environment for students studying dietetics and nutrition. Equipped with kitchenettes, food models, and dietary assessment tools, the lab helps students design, plan, and evaluate nutritionally balanced diets. Practical sessions focus on therapeutic diets, meal planning, and addressing malnutrition across different population groups.
The Pre-Clinical Sciences Laboratory supports foundational learning in anatomy, physiology, and microbiology.
