A State-Level Workshop on “Simulation: A Pulse of Practice” was successfully conducted on 17th and 18th March 2026 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. The workshop was coordinated by Mrs. Anu Sharma and Mrs. Shewali Sharma and focused on enhancing clinical skills through simulation-based learning.
The primary objective of the workshop was to provide a safe learning environment for repeated practice, improve clinical skills and confidence, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. It also emphasized teamwork, effective communication, and reducing medical errors in real clinical settings. The sessions were highly interactive and allowed participants to apply theoretical knowledge in simulated clinical scenarios.
Faculty members from IPHH College of Nursing actively participated in the workshop. Mrs. Anu Sharma (Assistant Professor) and Mrs. Shewali Sharma (Nursing Tutor) contributed significantly to the learning process and demonstrated strong professional engagement.
The workshop included detailed sessions on the concept, importance, and application of simulation in healthcare. Participants were introduced to various types of simulation techniques, including low-fidelity, medium-fidelity, and high-fidelity simulations. Hands-on training sessions enabled participants to practice clinical procedures in a controlled and risk-free environment, helping them build confidence and competence.
Overall, the workshop was highly informative and successful. It provided valuable insights into modern teaching methods in healthcare education and highlighted the importance of simulation in improving patient care outcomes. The initiative taken by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is commendable and beneficial for all participants.
